Are Deed Polls centrally registered?

By default there is no central record of Deed Polls however you can choose to have your Deed Poll enrolled in the Royal Courts of Justice. This process costs around £100 and includes a notice of your name change in the London Gazette. This process is entirely voluntary and very few people choose this option due to the extra costs involved.
